UCAS in cooperation with HTWK organized five sessions on Multimedia and information sciences in Germany

Within the sixth training mission of BITPAL project, University College of Applied Sciences (UCAS) in cooperation with Hochschule für Technik, Wirtschaft und Kultur Leipzig HTWK University  has organized five days of training sessions in HTWK, Leipzig ,Germany. The training targeted 24 of the high-level of academic and business enterprises in Palestine to expand their prospects in web and mobile application systems.

The first day (17 June 2019) started with welcoming the Palestinian delegations, Prof. Yaarob AlGhanem expressed his happiness for coordinating the training sessions in Leipzig. Ms. Silke Mühl, the Head of International Office followed his speech with short presentation of HTWKs’ internationalization strategy and outlines its programs and statistics. The second specialized session presented by Prof. Sergey Sosnovsky on the trends of internet, mobile applications, online marketing and mobile computing. Dr. Sergey Sosnovsky introduced the social web, and gave a historic overview on the development of social web and discussed the various applications related to social computing.

In the second and third days (18-19 June 2019), Sosnovsky continued his lectures on the adaptive web based systems, adaptive hypermedia, user modeling, recommender systems in addition to the adapter hypermedia, e-learning systems, EduTech transfer  Intelligent and Tutoring System. The third day ended with a visit to MDR Leipzig Radio Symphony Orchestra and its studio recordings of numerous soundtrack.

At the fourth day (20 June 2019) the participants visited OVRLAB, the start-up of HTWK graduates that works in multimedia, virtual reality and augmented reality. During the visit, the entrepreneurs introduce their spin-off, the challenges . after the visit Prof. Klaus Haenssgen presented case studies of virtual reality and simulation as well as their experiences in projects management.

In 21 June 2019 the participants engaged in a study visit to the technical university of Berlin. at the end of the training, Dr. Ahmed Abdalaal thanked HTWK for their courtesy and cooperation.
