Virtual Advisory Monitoring Meeting carried out by the NEO team

On 30th March 2021, a Virtual Advisory Monitoring Meeting was carried out by the NEO team and Education, Audiovisual and Culture Executive Agency (EACEA) to the CBHE funded project Palestinian Research and Library Platform (PALib) via Zoom meeting.

The Director of the National Erasmus Office, Dr. Nedal Jayousi, the Program Officer, and the Office Manager – Ms. Nashwa Darwish, and the Project Officer at EACEA Ms. Jessica Giampaola conducted a virtual Advisory Monitoring meeting to the CBHE funded project Palestinian Research and Library Platform (PALib); with the presence of the Programme Manager PEGASE DFS & Social Development at EU Office in Jerusalem Mr. Simone Brotini, UCAS vice rector for Planning and External Relations, Dr. Tamer Eshtawi, PaLib team at UCAS; as well as representatives of project partners from: Islamic university of Gaza- IUG, Palestine Polytechnic University-PPU, An Najah National university-ANNU, Universidad Católica San, Antonio de Murcia-UCAM, L’aquila University- UNIVAQ, and The University Colleges of Merit-ARCES.
Dr. Nedal Jayousi together with representatives from University College of Applied Sciences (UCAS) (coordinator university) / Dr. Tamer Eshtawi opened the meeting and welcomed participants. Dr. Jayousi clarified the main aim of the monitoring mission which is knowing the progress of implementation of project activities compared to the Time Frame of the project. Further, identifying the obstacles and modifications if there are any to facilitate where this is possible.
The project coordinator/ Dr. Ahmed Aldahdooh, and other partners presented the achieved activities, and also the output during the first year of the project; together with the project position with regards to the work packages. The team also presented the challenges and obstacles they faced so far. Further, the team stressed on the activities they conducted to achieve proper management of the project technically and financially. The meeting also included discussion where both EACEA and NEO asked their questions, and gave fruitful recommendations.
