UCAS participated in the lunch event and kick-off meeting of HELIOS project, (enHancing thE sociaL Inclusion Of neetS). HELIOS project is funded by the European Union (EU) under the ENI CBC Mediterranean Sea Basin Program, for three years 2019-2022. HELIOS aims to provide curricula for innovative-targeted skills training courses oriented towards specific needs of the labor market and the needs of NEETs, based on direct interaction with local enterprises. In Particular, one of the goals of this initiative concentrates in creating e-learning tools and methodologies supported by new technologies in order to provide learning-skills for NEETs and women.
The kick-off meeting was held in Jordan on 2nd, December, 2019 in the presence of 7 partners from 6 countries. The meeting was led by ARCES Association and organized by the national Center for Agricultural Research and Extension (NARC).
Within the meeting, the project partner’s members met for the first time and discussed their particular roles and the best practices to promote the project outcomes. UCAS team as well as the other partner’s teams presented a detailed introduction for their institutions alongside with the available competences that each partner has. Moreover, they discussed their own experiences and the expectations towards targeted the project outcomes.
The project manager introduced the project goals, milestones, work packages as well as the proposed working plans; i.e. dissemination plan, Communication plan,…etc. In the same context, the key item of UCAS participation during the meeting concerns in its roles & responsibilities as coordinator for the fifth work package; i.e. Oriented Curricula Development.
Finally, the meeting was closed by drawing the roadmap of the project for the coming future as well as approving the action plan for the next six months.
