iCARE project concluded training program on E-learning Methodologies

iCARE project, which is co-financed by the European Union (under the Erasmus+ Programme), has implemented a specialized training program entitled “Enhancement of E-learning Methodologies in Palestinian Universities”, within the subcontract signed between the UCAS and RAI Consult in cooperation with Dr. Rami Al-Hadeethi, a specialist in the field of e-learning from the University of Bradford in the United Kingdom and Dr. Ahmad Alabed , a specialist in the field of analysis and design of information systems from the University of Technology.

The capacity building program aimed to enhance the capacity of E-Learning field in the three Palestinian universities (UCAS, IUG, and AUG). The program aimed to stimulate teachers’ performance, and the quality of the educational process in the universities. 40 participants from academic and technical were participated and received intensive training in this field.

The program implemented in three phases:

The first phase (27 March to 4 April 2021) introduced by Dr. Rami Al-Hadeethi targeted Academic Staff from Engineering and Physiotherapy Departments, and focused on:

The strategies for smooth shifting from traditional learning to E-learning, Strategies to activate the interaction of learners in the blended learning process, and design the electronic exams and evaluation methods.

The second phase (15,16 April 2021) introduced by Dr. Ahmad Alabed included customized training sessions for each group from the targeted departments focused on virtual labs and communications tools.

The third phase (22 April 2021) introduced by Dr. Ahmad Alabed included an open session with staff of E-Learning technical Units from targeted universities focused on applications and networks, computing and display devices and servers, and data center vs cloud computing.
